Ambiguous Loss: A loss that is not clearly defined or does not bring closure.

Ex: “There’s been a death but it doesn’t involve a body, like when a soldier goes missing or a relative slips into dementia. They’re gone and yet still here.”

Ex: The person you care about is still physically on this earth, but you’ve lost them. They are no longer in your life.
